Who has time
Very rarely do I get a chance to "Waste time on the computer". What I mean is that usually I'm so busy that I only get or have energy to check things online for about 20 minutes and espn.com and twinsbaseball.com come first. I really don't have time to write blogs everyday... So as I'm reading some blogs tonight it occurred to me that I must be way abnormal....am I........How weird is it to not see a computuer at all during the work day.....Maybe that's a bad sign for me and my career.........Now to the update...Life is busy...Julie is getting back into teaching mode and we are all adjusting to the new schedule. Gabe's new daycare is wonderful but he is in the process of adjusting. ..We are waiting patiently for Gabe's new cousin/best friend (tyler and I were speculating when they will have their first fist fight).......I've been working a lot which is good because of the extra cash but I miss being at home.......As far as Church goes I'm very excited there are 2 praise teams this year.... what a treat to be a member of the congregation and not on stage...Julie and I will be opening our house up for a small group session which is going to be fun......What else can I talk about....emotions...Saw a picture of my grandfather who passed away a couple months ago....He was a great man and I miss him....His picture reminded me of the importance of staying focused on the real goals of life. He had perspective which I lack so often....Why is it so easy to make life complicated?? Why do all of us care so much about things that don't matter??? Well anyways Vatti's ministry was complete. He had skills that mattered. He was a true minster for the Lord...I'm not sure I can say the same........There you go folks..I'm not sure anyone reads this but I tried to write about more intersting stuff........Aaron

What have I been doing?
I haven't posted in so long that no one will probably read this anyway.....What is on my mind? Let's see....My wife is home which means she is more happy which means I'm more happy. (Of course Julie is never really not happy but not having to go work for 3 months can never hurt).......Fishing...I've been fishing..I'm pretty good at catching bass but I'm bad at catching walleyes. I was right next to a couple of boats who were pulling in some good fish but I only got a couple of bites.....I'm determined to figure out how to catch those bad boys...........Summer. It's nice to have good weather. We went for a good bike ride the other day which was a total blast....Vatti. My grandpa had an accident and has been in critical care for the last month...He has little chance of making it. He's 88 and lived a great life. He loved fishing and camping and was a great spiritual man of God. I hope to live my life with his easy going mentality. When I was around 10-12 Vatti(which is what we called him, I think it's German) (joke I know it's German) took me to fleet farm and told me to pick out any reel I wanted. Then he gave me one of his rods...I still use the combo today and I hoped to use it forever. Now that's a Grandpa doing his job.He will be missed but my memories of hymn will stay. He's just that kind of person.....Age.... I'm 26 now which means I'm on my way to 30. This is weird. I still feel kinda like I'm 18...I'm not sure if that will ever go away..........Blessings.....Do I ever ask myself if life could get better? Yes, but then why do I do that. I have so much (great wife, son, house, car, good job) God is good and I ask my self if I would still be the same person if it was a taken away...I really can't answer that......Enough of the deep stuff....Thanks for reading fans (if more than one reads this)......Much Peace to all......

Time is Going Too Fast I Guess
Wow...It's been along time since I made a post. I just read my previous post and that was kind of lame. I wonder what I'll think of this post a couple months down the line.....Life is good here for us. Gabe is growing like a weed. He's grabbing everything, he's eating vegetables, he's playing with his toys. It's hard to believe how fast he can learn and grow. I'm really dating myself with comments like these but it is so true.....For me (aaron) life is good. Work is still steady. The company would very much appreciate some more business to keep us workers busy so if anybody knows anybody who is looking to build a house or a remodel job send them our way (free plug). I'm working the Home Show at the Dome this weekend so please come and visit me. It might get boring so I might get excited to see a familar face. Julie is doing well. This week is a bit stressful because she has conferences and I have the Home Show. We are still praying for her job. Please Keep her in your prayers. So this is getting boring so I'll end. But of course here are some pics.......

Baby it's Cold Outside
I know that everyone is complaining about the cold weather (-27 right now) so Julie and I will give our take. We were trying to think of a good picture that would represent these cold days. Julie suggested I go outside in my pajamas for 2 hours and then come inside for a photo of the frozen snot on my face. I then informed her that 2 hours outside would be death but the photo would be great. Anyways it's too cold for me to work, so I'm staying home again. I do love to work, but I must admit it is hard to get myself to go outside in these temperatures. I've learned in the construction business (in ND) that the body and equipment can function until -20 real temp or -25 wind chill. Below that problems occur and it takes a lot of hot water to thaw myself out when I get home. This is really not a joke, and I know some of you might be able to relate with this. The only other good news I have about myself is that I broke down and bought a snow blower at Fleet Farm. I'm not going to lie I do feel more manly but no one probably cares......unto the stuff that grandparents care about...Gabe is doing well but for the last couple of weeks he's turned himself into a night sleeping diva. He's waking up a lot and is demanding our attention. I'm sure he wants both mom and dad's attention but it just so happens that mom is the first to respond to these needs. We are trying to use all sorts of tricks without letting him cry it out. Let us know if you have any ideas that work. I still think all of this is coming to a climactic night in which we have to just let him go. That's going to be hard. Please no Office jokes. Well, it's 9 am and Gabe is happily sitting on my lap trying to get to the keyboard. This is what he wants to write: cu bnmn,m jhjjhjh mmjujdfjubrnuhbguii b b hhyj vucyvcv vgy. Thanks Gabe. If anyone can translate that you will soon be making millions. Now is the time for me to add photos for those who don't like to read the rubbish.

Christmas on the Way!
Hey Friends,
Aaron here. We are getting excited for the holidays. Julie has one more week of work and then she gets 2 long awaited weeks off. We've been busy doing all sorts of things. Julie has been hosting Tupperware and toy parties, she's been Christmas shopping, and loving on her baby. I've been working on installing basketball hoops at our church (which is taking me a long time) and whenever I get a chance I've been working on the basement project. Real work for me is going well. It is getting cold but I'm still young and my body is holding up fine for now (talk to me in late February and I'll have a different opinion). Gabe is doing well. He's a night owl. He loves to stay up as late as he can every night (no matter what we do) . He doesn't want to miss a thing. This is fine but I know that someday he's going to have to have a set bedtime. Anyways thanks for reading. Looking forward to the holidays with you.

Thanksgiving Good Times

Hello Friends,
This is Aaron typing.....Well, last weekend was something else. We mostly visited with the Stroh side. All 4 of those boys are fun to be around.
Some of the highlights were the great meals, Gabe's first visit with Santa, shopping without reason with Tyler, nearly buying a "dumb and dumber" motorcycle, starting the process of storing 80 gallons of gas for next summer, laughs, and most importantly Gabe was formally welcomed by our Church. It is a fantastic feeling knowing that our son will have a opportunity to know and grow with the Lord at Calvary (he is sitting in my lap right now is trying to suck my hands and arms while I type). Thanks to everyone who has helped us out and supported us........
What a good looking family

Under construction!

Aaron has been tirelessly working away on finishing our basement. So far he has wired the whole basement, added recess lighting, framed up the walls, and started adding the dry wall. His goal is to have it completed by the time Gabe starts crawling. Hard to believe how fast that will actually come! He loves his projects! It is such a blessing being married to such a handy man!
