Baby it's Cold Outside

I know that everyone is complaining about the cold weather (-27 right now) so Julie and I will give our take. We were trying to think of a good picture that would represent these cold days. Julie suggested I go outside in my pajamas for 2 hours and then come inside for a photo of the frozen snot on my face. I then informed her that 2 hours outside would be death but the photo would be great. Anyways it's too cold for me to work, so I'm staying home again. I do love to work, but I must admit it is hard to get myself to go outside in these temperatures. I've learned in the construction business (in ND) that the body and equipment can function until -20 real temp or -25 wind chill. Below that problems occur and it takes a lot of hot water to thaw myself out when I get home. This is really not a joke, and I know some of you might be able to relate with this. The only other good news I have about myself is that I broke down and bought a snow blower at Fleet Farm. I'm not going to lie I do feel more manly but no one probably cares......unto the stuff that grandparents care about...Gabe is doing well but for the last couple of weeks he's turned himself into a night sleeping diva. He's waking up a lot and is demanding our attention. I'm sure he wants both mom and dad's attention but it just so happens that mom is the first to respond to these needs. We are trying to use all sorts of tricks without letting him cry it out. Let us know if you have any ideas that work. I still think all of this is coming to a climactic night in which we have to just let him go. That's going to be hard. Please no Office jokes. Well, it's 9 am and Gabe is happily sitting on my lap trying to get to the keyboard. This is what he wants to write: cu bnmn,m jhjjhjh mmjujdfjubrnuhbguii b b hhyj vucyvcv vgy. Thanks Gabe. If anyone can translate that you will soon be making millions. Now is the time for me to add photos for those who don't like to read the rubbish.

YES! Someone asked me for advice!!! OK, you are coming up to the 5-6 month range. This is really normal, why? One, he is going through a growth spurt and might need more food. If I were you, I would try giving him a bottle with a pinch of rice flakes in there. He might sleep through the night surprise you! Second, around this time, his teeth buds are starting to bloom. This can be very painful for them. I know cause I went through this with my eye teeth at the age of 21. Put some teeth numbing gel on his gum's and possibly give him a bit of Tylenol. This is very normal and should pass in a couple weeks (or once he cuts his teeth) He should cut 8 in the next 6 months (ouch!) Once he starts digesting food and crawling around 9 months, you will go through this again and then at 12-14. After that you are usually golden! Welcome to parenthood...I am proud of you guys and keep love'n on him...he needs you!
